A classic wine for a classic varietal, the 2004 Darioush Signature Merlot displays an opulence and concentration that embodies the heritage of the famous Bordeaux right-bank Chateaux. Harvesting only intensely ripe fruit from the low yielding vineyards in both the valley floor and on Mt. Veeder provides the Merlot with depth, texture and aromatic complexities.
Opening with a cacophony of sweet spice, perfumed violets, and wild berries, the palate unfolds with a resplendent black cherry vibrancy and rich, dark chocolate core, all framed by a finish of sensuous vanilla shadings from our new French oak barrels.
